Pa’ani Wai Hawai’i is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization. Our mission is to teach safe practices and techniques for recreational ocean users in the water sports of kayaking, kiteboarding, stand up paddling, surfing, windsurfing, body boarding, skim boarding, free diving and snorkeling. We also teach stewardship and conservation of our shared beaches, ocean and islets.
Our professional team of lifeguard, first aid and CPR certified Instructors has been actively teaching safe ocean sport practices for 25 years. In addition, we are the only world-renown IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) school on O’ahu, with the largest staff of IKO-certified kiteboarding instructors on hand. This means we can adapt to your learning style and change our strategy to get you to be an independent waterman, waterwoman or watergrom (kid)!
We are located next to Kailua Bay, on the windward side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, rated as one of the best beaches in the world by Dr. Leatherman (aka Dr. Beach) and Conde Naste magazine. We offer services 7 days a week (including Sundays!) and most holidays (but not Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, thank you!).
